A large police force was deployed at rue Emile Vandervelde in Bouffioulx (Châtelet), this Friday early evening. A mother in her twenties had taken refuge in her grandmother’s home with her two children. She ended up going to law enforcement.
She was armed, we were able to confirm with the prosecution. According to a person close to the family, it was even a handgun, revolver type. Special units were sent to try to reason with the young woman, which fortunately worked: following a few dozen minutes of siege, the mother surrendered. She was deprived of her liberty.
At the time of writing these lines, we still do not know his motivations or demands.
