Armani brings more sparkle to Fashion Week

Italian designer Giorgio Armani showcased a pastel-coloured spring-summer collection with many shimmering details for his eponymous major fashion line at Milan Fashion Week, on Sunday.

The 88-year-old veteran designer opened the show, which he called “Ville d’Or” (a thread of gold) with looks in light colors of sandy and gray tones. The models wore long jackets and loose-fitting trousers, with gold bags and sneakers.

Then he switched to different shades of blue to offer fringed tops, long dresses over trousers, and an assortment of jackets. Many of the designs bore shimmering motifs. At the end of the show, the models wore an array of golden evening gowns.
