Tomaszów Mazowiecki suffered severe damage as a result of the storm that passed over the city on Friday evening. Photos and videos show the scale of the destruction caused by the violent storm.

IMWM and RCB issued warnings for many voivodeships.
On Friday evening, a powerful storm hit Tomaszów Mazowiecki in the Łódź province. Over 120 reports were received by firefighters from the Tomaszewski district following the passage of a strong storm front, with heavy rain and gusty winds. As many as 100 concern Tomaszów Mazowiecki alone.
These are mainly fallen trees and downed power lines, but there are also ripped off roofs and flooded basements.
The internet quickly saw a flood of photos showing the destruction in the city. Tadeusz Kościuszko Square was covered in fragments of roofs, facades and advertisements.
In the center of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, the roof covering was completely torn off one of the commercial and service buildings. It fell to the ground, damaging several cars – Captain Hubert Rogala from the Tomaszów fire department told RMF FM.
Many cars were crushed by broken branches. There are many fallen trees in the city.
The storm over the city lasted several minutes but caused significant destruction.
