Arkane Austin’s Return to Single-Player Excellence: Hiring Lead Technical Engineer for Upcoming Triple-A Immersive Simulation Game

Arkane has always been known for unique, intelligent, and well-crafted single-player adventures such as Dishonored and Prey. Still, Arkane Austin decided to try something different with Redfall, a multiplayer adventure game released in May. Unfortunately, the game was half-baked at best, lacking the promised features, had some poor ideas, and was ultimately considered a disappointment. It looks like the team has gotten the memo, as their latest job listing largely hints at Arkane Austin getting back to doing what they’re really good at once once more. As IdleSloth84_ noticed on Twitter, the studio is currently looking for a lead technical engineer, which gives us some clues as to what their next steps might be, as it says applicants should be “familiar with single-player action RPGs and Immersive Simulation Game”. It was also mentioned that the next project is a triple-A game, so it doesn’t look like Bethesda and Microsoft have lost faith in the studio.
