ARISE IIP and Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) launch a $100 million fund to support businesses located in SEZs developed by Arise IIP

ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP), a pan-African developer and operator of world-class industrial parks, and Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), a leading provider of infrastructure solutions in Africa, announced on Thursday in Lagos, Nigeria the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a $100 million (USD) fund to support businesses established within ARISE IIP’s industrial parks.

At the heart of this partnership is a shared vision to support African businesses in Arise IIP’s SEZs by providing them with the financing and advisory services needed to drive their growth. AFC will also actively seek financing from Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), local and regional financial institutions to leverage funds to support these businesses. This concerted effort underscores ARISE IIP and AFC’s commitment to industrialization, job creation and economic prosperity in Africa.

Under this partnership, AFC’s full range of financial services will extend beyond financing to include financial advice on corporate finance, equipment finance and market entry, including assistance for joint ventures and technical partnerships, to ensure they are well equipped to seize opportunities and thrive within industrial parks. By leveraging AFC’s extensive network and expertise, ARISE IIP aims to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurship and drives sustainable economic development across the continent.

Commenting on the partnership, Gagan Gupta, CEO of ARISE IIP, said: “ARISE IIP is all regarding empowerment. By empowering our clients and ensuring they have the strong financial backing they need to achieve their business goals, this collaboration with our long-standing partner AFC brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of an industrialized and prosperous Africa.”
