Since the morning, around 800 helpers have been searching the area north of the missing person’s home, a police spokeswoman said on Sunday in the situation center in Bremervörde-Elm. Previously, the search for the child was unsuccessful on Sunday night.
The new campaign began at 9 a.m. in Kranenburg, a few kilometers north of Elm. The emergency services formed a 1.5 kilometer wide human chain and now roamed the area from the north towards Elm. “There are no new findings from the night,” a police spokeswoman said previously.

Arian, who police say is autistic, has been missing since Monday evening. He had left his parents’ house unnoticed. Since then, hundreds of emergency services have been searching the six-year-old’s hometown and the surrounding area. A surveillance camera recorded the boy running into a neighboring forest after his disappearance.
On Sunday night, the emergency services searched for Arian again using the so-called quiet strategy. According to police, this was discussed with an autism expert. Beforehand, loud music was played or fireworks were set off because the boy liked it.
