RECENTLY the public was shocked by Ari Lasso’s upload announcing the news of his divorce from his wife, Vita Dessy.
Through his personal Instagram account, the former Dewa 19 vocalist shared news about the breakdown in his household.
“So as of February 2024 (exactly on our silver wedding anniversary), Vita Dessy and I have officially divorced,” wrote Ari Lasso in his Instagram upload on October 25.
This news immediately attracted the attention of the public, including Ari’s celebrity colleagues. The reason is, Ari Lasso and Vita Dessy have lived together for 25 years. However, in 2024 they decided to separate.
“The important thing is, we both (with the children’s consent) agreed to separate amicably, with the help of a lawyer we appointed, to manage it without leaks,” he continued.
This father of four children admitted that the decision to divorce Vita was not an easy one. Everything was done based on long thought and was discussed with the children.
At the start of the divorce announcement, Ari Lasso chose to remain silent, which sparked various speculations regarding the issue of a third person. However, when met by media crew, the singer of the song “Last Love” emphasized that this issue was just speculation.
“The issue of the third person is actually just speculation. There are a lot of comments from netizens, just leave it alone, that’s what netizens say. So, we consider it finished,” he said.
According to Ari Lasso, assumptions may arise, but his and Vita’s decision to divorce was carefully considered, like the decision of two adults.
Ari believes that what has happened is fate that must be lived. It is known that this musician, whose full name is Ari Bernardus Lasso, married Vita Dessy in 1999. So far, they have been known to the public as a harmonious couple who are far from gossip.
“Honestly, it’s really a shame to have been married for 20 years together. But, it’s back again, because this is fate. Who knows, maybe tomorrow there will be a better lesson,” he explained.
