The Argoz Corporation has reopened its facilities under new management, following being closed by the Attorney General’s Office due to investigations into fraud and irregular marketing of real estate. The head office and the San Salvador branch are already operating, according to the announcement made by Attorney General Rodolfo Delgado and Housing Minister Michelle Sol.
“From today, families can make their payments with confidence at these two branches. In addition, no interest will be charged for the time the branch was closed, and the payments will be frozen,” said Minister Sol.
In December 2023, the Attorney General’s Office initiated a series of legal actions once morest the Argoz Corporation, to bring justice to thousands of Salvadoran families who were deceived by the irregular sale of real estate
Investigations have determined that Argoz provided properties at “affordable prices,” between $1,000 and $5,000, with payment facilities for victims, especially in rural areas, but in the end the people were not sure that the land they paid for was theirs.
The Attorney General’s Office has initiated legal action once morest representatives of Argoz for the fraudulent sale of plots of land without providing the title deeds.
