“It was something very fast, I tried to decide as quickly as possible, I am happy and pleased to be here, very motivated“I hope to finish the last details, close the negotiation and join the team,” Pons declared before the media at the Santiago Airport.
Pons, 33, also stated that he hopes “close the missing details to sit calmly and talk with Gustavo (Alvarez).”
In addition, he said that he investigated the U before reaching an agreement with the blues.
“I have spoken with friends who have family here, one also starts investigating to be involvedy I hope it’s a good year for everyone“he commented.
Finally, given the expectations for his role as a forward, Pons was emphatic: “I know what the U is looking for, but first I will try to close the last details, the medical check-up and being ready with the squad”.
Pons is expected to undergo the required medical examinations this Tuesday and join the lay staff during the afternoon.
