PUBLIC DEBT REACHED A RECORD OF US$403,809 MILLION
Argentina’s gross public debt climbed to US$403,809 million in June, thus reaching a new record, according to data published by the Ministry of Economy.
Last month, the liability increased by US$4,960 million due to a drop in debt in currency of US$1,852 million and an increase in debt in local currency for an equivalent amount in dollars of 6,812 million.
Meanwhile, in the last year the gross debt in a situation of normal payment increased by the equivalent of US$25,270 million, due to the increase in debt in foreign currency by US$2,179 million and the increase in debt in local currency for an amount equivalent to US$23,091 million.
The Merval rises and shares of Argentine firms on Wall Street operate with rises
The S&P Merval index rises 0.34% and stands at 458,435.80 units following the half-round in the Buenos Aires market, while the shares of Argentine companies on Wall Street advance up to 4.5%.
In the leading panel of the Buenos Aires stock market, mixed results were observed and within this framework, the papers of Supervielle and Aluar recorded the most important advances, with 3% and 2.8%, respectively.
Central Puerto (-1.4%) and Edenor (-1.3%), among other shares, operated with a negative trend.
For their part, the ADRs of Argentine companies on Wall Street marked the majority of increases, with the exception of Edenor (-3.8%), Cresud (-0.6%) and Central Puerto (-0.2%).
The increases were led by Corporación América (4.5%) and YPF (3.1%).
In the fixed income segment, bonds in dollars registered a mixed trend, with improvements of up to 1.3% and cuts of up to 3.3%; while titles in pesos operated with increases of up to 0.7%.
Thus, the country risk operated with a slight rise of 0.6% and stood at 2,054 basis points.
Chicago Grain Futures
Grain futures were traded on the Chicago Market with positive results: soybeans advanced 0.79% and traded at US$ 549.59 a ton in August futures contracts.
Meanwhile, corn rose 3.10% and was traded at US$202.65 while wheat rose 2.14% and was traded at US$245.36 in September contracts.
Most positive results on international stock markets
The main international stock markets registered today the majority of positive results in their main assets, while oil operated with profits in the reference markets.
The main stock markets of the Asia-Pacific region closed today mostly with negative results, according to the Bloomberg agency. Taiwan fell 0.61%, Seoul 0.43%, Hong Kong 2.05% and China fell 0.34% in its Shenzhen index and 0.37% in Shanghai; on the other hand, in Tokyo it rose 0.09%.
In Europe, the main stock markets operated with positive results: Paris advanced 0.45%, Frankfurt 0.42%, Milan 0.38%, London 0.66% and Madrid 0.24%.
In the New York markets, its main index, the Dow Jones Industrials, added 0.01% and stood at 34,935.96 points; while the selective index S&P 500 rose 0.35% and the technological Nasdaq subtracted 0.14%.
For its part, the São Paulo Stock Exchange in its main index, Bovespa, grew 0.12% and was located at 118,363.93 points.
The price of the MEP dollar and the cash with liqui
In the stock market, the dollar with settlement (CCL) fell 0.4% and was traded at $531.76.
For its part, the MEP or Stock Market dollar advanced 1.3% and was quoted at $494.06.

The Ministry of Energy authorized a 4.43% increase in the purchase price of a liter of bioethanol, both for those made from sugar cane and corn, through resolution 588/2023 published today in the Bulletin Official, in line with the increases that YPF ordered for its fuels.
The same established for the two variants of bioethanol a price of $172,759 per liter for the operations carried out as of last July 8, the day on which the national oil company adjusted the prices of its grade 2 and 3 gasoline sold through its service stations in the City of Buenos Aires.
This is the second increase in less than a month, since resolution 554 of June 30 set a price of $165,432 for both varieties of bioethanol, an increase equivalent to 6.61%.

Oil posts gains in New York and London
The barrel of crude oil traded with rises in the international markets of New York and London.
