Dunedin (New Zealand): Argentina women came back from two goals down once morest South Africa to equalize in the Women’s World Cup. Both teams scored two goals each in the Group G match.

Argentina, who was behind by two goals until the 74th minute, fought back with two goals within five minutes.

South Africa took the lead in the 30th minute through Linda Mottelhalo. Then, with Thembi Gatlana scoring in the 66th minute, they began dreaming of their first win in World Cup history.

But Argentina pulled back a goal through Sofia Brown in the 74th minute and scored a second goal through Romina Nunes in the 79th minute.

This is Argentina’s first point in the World Cup. Argentina, who are currently fourth in Group G with one point from two games, have all but lost their knockout chances.
