Vvedite NowiyLogin: I share my own impressions. Spain, of course, with a victory. But overall the tournament turned out to be very boring. Many teams that were there are not up to the level of such a tournament. All the teams (even the winner) looked somehow… exhausted or something…
As for me, there are two reasons:
1. The grueling club season
2. Expansion of the Euro membership
All this together gave the result: lackluster matches that started to resemble a big tournament only somewhere around the quarter-finals. Not even a single forward stood out, a bunch of players scored only 3 goals each and all of them became the tournament’s top scorers. No race, no fight between the forwards, no motivation… Only Yamal stood out among the assists and that’s it… Even look at the tournament’s best player – Rodri. Of course, he’s top. But can he really be called the best without question? No. The same Carvajal (even with his ridiculous red) was no worse. Olmo was no worse. Cucurella, Bellingham, Pickford, Kunde… But they chose Rodri because they had to choose. Overall, everything is very average.
P.S. There are matches of the GROUP STAGE of the same Euro-2000, which I remember as if it were yesterday. And this tournament… I can’t remember a single match in the group stage… I have to rack my brain…
