Argentina: Businessman who was driving drunk and speeding killed two Venezuelans

Businessman Roberto Juan Patricelli was driving a drunken BMW X3 truck and crossed the lane at more than 150 km/h causing the crash at Palermo.

A renowned businessman in Buenos Aires, Argentina, caused a tragic traffic accident that killed two young Venezuelans, when he was driving drunk and at high speed on Libertador Avenue.

The victims were identified as Juan Márquez (25) and Yeinsmar Márquez (15), who were traveling in a Ford Ka returning from a family outing and died upon impact. Juan, a native of Cagua, was a cook in one of the restaurants of the renowned Argentine chef Maru Botana.

Also in the car were Juan’s girlfriend, Yeinsmar’s father and two other Venezuelans Jeins José Marrero Mora (22) and Dakhanaith Alexandra Curvelo (31), who were injured but out of danger.

According to preliminary data, businessman Roberto Juan Patricelli was driving a drunken BMW X3 truck and crossed the lane at more than 150 km/h causing the crash at Palermo. Patricelli, who is director of the customs company Ropaco SA, was charged with manslaughter.

But in addition to the infractions committed in the context of the accident, the BMW X3 truck also had unpaid fines for almost 120,000 pesos (approximately $600), several of them for speeding.
