The Argentine national team won the (Finalisima 2022) Cup, following its big 3-0 victory over Italy, on Wednesday, at the ancient Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 match brought together the Argentine national team, the champion of the South American Cup (Copa America) last year, and the Italian national team, the holder of the European Nations Cup (Euro 2020), which was also held last year.
The Argentine team dominated most of the match, as it might have scored more goals, had it not been for the misfortune that happened to its stars in more than one opportunity, to prove its readiness from now to participate in the World Cup.
On the other hand, the Italian team looked very lackluster, and its players appeared completely far from their usual level, to the concern of its fans before its expected meeting with its guest, the German national team, next Saturday, at the start of the two teams’ matches in the third group of the first division of the group stage of the European Nations League.
Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring for Argentina in the 28th minute following a superb pass from Argentine magician Lionel Messi, while Angel Di Maria added the second goal in the first minute of stoppage time for the first half, made by Martinez.
(Alternative) Paulo Dybala concluded the Argentine goals festival, following scoring the third goal in the fourth (last) minute of the added time in place of the second half.
