A few weeks ago, Diablo IV was among the stars of the last BlizzCon. Blizzard unveiled its first expansion, titled Vessel of Hatred, resuming the story of the main campaign while bringing several new features to fans.. Despite positive press feedback on the game, Diablo IV had a complicated launch in terms of its reception among players. The latter criticized many design choices as well as the endgame. The first season also had a rocky reception, while the second began to reconcile some enthusiasts with the franchise.
If we can indeed criticize many points since the release of Diablo IV, we must admit that Blizzard’s responsiveness in correcting the various problems encountered is remarkable. The development team has in the past admitted to monitoring forums and networks to be responsive in order to unearth “very important returns”, admitting that she “appreciated that the community yelled at them”. This is good, the community could have new cartridges to make its discontent heard.

According to YouTuber Bellular News, cited in an article by Kotaku, Blizzard sent certain players a survey regarding the price of Diablo IV DLC. In this investigation, Blizzard would offer various packs ranging from 50 to… 100 dollars! As the YouTuber specifies, the four packs include an extension, but also different digital goodies. Some also include early access to content.
Of course, as of this writing, Blizzard is only testing the waters. However, we must keep in mind that the studio could use this type of method in the future, as others have unfortunately done before it. Last unknown: the influence of Microsoft in this type of unpopular decisions.
