On Monday, it was reported that a strong wind damaged the Ukrainian flag at the “Motherland” monument in Kyiv. The flag will be removed and replaced with a new one when the weather conditions improve.

“Odesa region does not sleep. We are working to eliminate the effects of bad weather. All services continue to operate in enhanced mode. In some snow-covered areas, rescuers even have to use armored vehicles,” said Oleh Kiper, head of the military administration of the Odesa region.

According to him, from 1 p.m. overnight rainfall in the south of the region stopped, which allowed the relevant services to work more productively.

Earlier it was reported that due to bad weather in Odesa region, buses with passengers got stuck in the snow, some roads were blocked by fallen trees.

Meanwhile, Russian authorities report that a real hurricane is raging in the occupied Crimea. Wind gusts reached 40 meters per second in the northwest of the Crimean peninsula. Half a million inhabitants of the region were left without electricity.

Due to the flooded Simferopol-Eupatoriya road, traffic was restricted. Eight-meter high waves are expected on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar Territory.
