Today, Monday, the Public Prosecution in Dakahlia issued an urgent decision regarding the seizure of a number of artifacts, inside the house of a drug dealer.
Mahmoud Daraz and Amr El-Gendy, the college prosecutors, under the supervision of Counselor Mohamed Nasr, Chief Prosecutor and under the supervision of Counselor Abdel-Rahman El-Shahawy, Attorney General of the South Mansoura College Prosecution, in Dakahlia Governorate, decided to renew the detention of a drug dealer for 15 days pending investigations.
This came following a report was received from the Antiquities District with 326 artifacts proven, which officers of the General Department for Combating Drug Crimes in the East Delta region in Dakahlia Governorate were able to find, along with 31 non-antiques, different quantities and weights of “hashish, ice and narcotic drugs” and tools for selling them.
The prosecutors also decided to deposit the seized items in the stores of the Ministry of Antiquities in the Tel Al-Ruba’ area in the Tammy Al-Amdid Center, as they are antiquities, while the accused continues to be imprisoned.
It was a campaign that included officers of the General Administration for Drug Control in the sector of combating illegal drugs, weapons and ammunition, in coordination with the sectors of “National Security – Public Security – Central Security” and the Dakahlia Security Directorate. The so-called “Fawzi A.M”, 56 years old, was unemployed and residing in the village of Bhoot, Nabrouh Markaz. , in Dakahlia Governorate, in possession of quantities of narcotics and artifacts, consisting of statues and small stones.
The Director of Dakahlia Security received a notification from the Director of Investigations to issue a report at Nabaruh Police Station from the officers of the General Department for Drug Control in the Anti-Narcotics, Weapons and Unlicensed Ammunition Sector, to arrest the accused and his possession of the seized items.
The campaign led by Colonel Ahmed Abdel Wahhab, head of the East Delta region for drug control, and Majors Islam Sultan and Mohamed Sinjab, the inspectors in the East Delta region, resulted in the arrest of the accused, who was in possession of suspected antiquities.
The seized items consisted of: 24 pieces inside a wooden box, 2 of which were broken, 23 manuscripts of suspected antiquity inside the box, 2 statues in the form of a white lion, a statue of two women in copper color, 2 bottles of two stones – 2 brown stones, 5 stone pots, and 2 pots on top. A bird figure, 4 metal frames, a metal necklace consisting of 8 balls, 6 wooden combs, 2 wooden pieces, one of which is large – and a pottery pot.
The total number of seized artifacts reached 326 artifacts of different sizes, in addition to the presence of 31 non-artifacts.
The campaign also seized quantities of drugs in the possession of the accused, which consisted of: “20 cannabis bags weighing approximately 6 kilograms, an amount of ice drug weighing approximately 1,250 kilograms, and 6000 tablets of the anesthetic drug Captagon,” in addition to a sensitive scale and a silver Nissan vehicle. color, an amount of 5 thousand pounds, and a mobile phone.
Confronting the accused with the results of the seizure and search, he acknowledged, in the police report, his possession and possession of the seized narcotic substances with the intent of trafficking in them, and the sum of money is part of the proceeds of his trafficking in narcotic substances, the mobile phone to contact his clients and make deals, and the car used for transportation and promotion.
The necessary minutes were issued to take the legal measures, and by referring them to the Public Prosecution, it issued its aforementioned decision.
