Arber Xhekaj will be in uniform this evening for the Laval Rocket.
The defender will also be playing his first career game in the American League and for the occasion, the Belleville Senators will be visiting Place Bell.
The Senators know Xhekaj well, in fact. The defenseman belonging to the CH organization injured Angus Crookshank at the 2022 rookie tournament with a check, and later in the match, Xhekaj knocked out Zachary Massicotte:

Crookshank’s injury was also serious: Xhekaj’s check caused him to miss a full season of activities…
And the Senators organization remembers it very well.
Crookshank will play on the Senators’ first line this evening and he will be accompanied by pugilist Bokondji Imama.
The Sheriff risks being beaten up quite a bit…
I say it like that.
Bokondji Imama will play on the Senators’ top line tonight alongside Angus Crookshank, the same man who lost an entire hockey season following suffering an injury following a hit by Xhekaj at the 2021 rookie camp …

Arber Xhekaj has proven himself and everyone knows he is not afraid to dropper the gloves to do themselves justice.
Bokondji Imama will certainly be called upon to disturb him throughout the match, and Xhekaj will have to keep calm so as not to put his team in trouble.
The Canadian wants to see Xhekaj be more disciplined, following all, and that needs to start tonight.
Guys will line up in the American League to face him, but he doesn’t necessarily have to fight every night either. He must (well) choose his battles and it is by gaining maturity that this will happen.
The following video sums up the situation well:

Tonight’s clash might be quite interesting, thank you. Especially since we know the rivalry between the CH school club and that of the Ottawa Senators.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how Xhekaj responds to adversity, though. Being demoted in the American League can be tough on his morale, but he needs to keep things simple and prove to the organization that he deserves his place in the sun.
It’s up to him.
