The Majalla revealed a draft decision Arab foreign ministers In their meeting in Cairo tomorrow, Sunday, to decide on the issue of Syria’s return to the League of Arab States.

The Arab ministers will decide to resume the participation of Syrian delegations in the meetings of the League of Arab States and all its affiliated organizations and agencies, starting tomorrow, according to Al-Majalla.

The draft also emphasized the need to take practical and effective steps to gradually resolve the Syrian crisis according to the principle of step by step, according to international resolutions.

The Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal al-Miqdad, was informed of the content of the elements of the draft resolution through contacts from Arab foreign ministers who held a series of meetings in recent weeks to coordinate positions in order to reach consensus within the Arab League.

A diplomatic source had said earlier that the emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates, on Saturday, witnessed widespread support for Syria’s return to the League, more than 11 years following its membership was suspended.

The source said in statements to the Arab World News Agency that the decision to return Syria to fill its vacant seat in the Arab League is entrusted to the Arab foreign ministers, who will meet in two emergency sessions of the League Council at its headquarters tomorrow, Sunday, to discuss the current developments in Sudan and Syria.

The meeting comes at a time when the Arab countries stress the importance of preserving the truce declared in Sudan between the army forces and the Rapid Support Forces and resolving the conflict between the two sides peacefully.
