As part of the preparations for the expected funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Britain received in an official ceremony the participants in the funeral.
A number of Arab kings and leaders will participate in the reception ceremony held by King Charles III, King of Britain, at Buckingham Palace for the participants in the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II, which will be held on Monday morning.
Emirates condolences
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was among the first to arrive at Buckingham Palace, on Sunday evening, to offer condolences to King Charles III, in preparation for participating in the funeral activities that will take place on Monday.
Upon his arrival at Buckingham Palace, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met King Charles III.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed to King Charles III the sincere condolences of the government and people of the United Arab Emirates on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
He praised the historical role of the late queen in supporting and consolidating the extended relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom over the past decades, and the keenness to distinguish them and push them to advanced levels of privacy, progress and growth in various fields.
Jordan condolences
Among those who arrived in the British capital to offer their condolences were Jordan’s King Abdullah II, his wife Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.
They were received at Buckingham Palace, where they expressed their deepest condolences on the passing of the Queen, who had “strong ties” to Jordan.
Bahraini lament
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, accompanied by his Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, participated in the funeral ceremony for the late Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The King of Bahrain offered condolences to the members of the royal family and to the people and government of Britain, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for the leadership of the United Kingdom and its people in this painful affliction.
During his conversation with King Charles, the Bahraini monarch praised the late queen’s virtues and exploits. Recalling with great appreciation the outstanding efforts of the late in strengthening the solid and distinguished historical relations between the two royal families in the two countries, and in strengthening the bilateral relations and the deep-rooted Bahraini-British friendship ties extended over the years.
He continued: “The whole world lost with the departure of the Queen a great leader who will be immortalized in history and a role model in wisdom, experience, love, peace and tolerance. Everyone remembers today the great impact and the great deeds that she performed throughout her career, as she had honorable historical positions and pioneering initiatives in the service of humanity and humanitarian issues and many contributions. Lebanon participates
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati arrived in Britain to represent his country at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Mikati, his wife May, and a large number of heads of state and government participated in the farewell look at the Queen’s coffin this followingnoon in the “Westminster” hall.
The Lebanese Prime Minister also wrote in his condolence book an obituary to the Queen, saying, “In my name and on behalf of the Lebanese people, and with millions around the world, we pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who was a symbol of national devotion and commitment to the United Kingdom. We express our sincere condolences to King Charles III, his wife, Her Majesty the Queen, and to all members of the royal family.
The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, also participated in the reception hosted by King Charles III, for the heads of state and government participating in the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II.
Madbouly met King Charles III, where the Egyptian Prime Minister offered condolences to the king on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
He also conveyed the wishes of the Egyptian President to the United Kingdom for continued progress and prosperity during the reign of King Charles III.
On the sidelines of his participation in the reception, Madbouly also met with Liz Terrace, British Prime Minister; He wished the British Prime Minister success in her new assignment.
