Arab countries ban the screening of “Spider-Man” because it includes a phrase calling for the protection of transgender children

Among the first Arab countries to ban the screening of the film were the UAE and Saudi Arabia, before Egypt followed suit.

“Fox Cinema” reported that the movie “Spider-Man – Across the Spider-Verse” was banned in a number of Arab countries, due to what was included in one of the scenes, and according to the film’s inclusion of a phrase calling for the protection of transgender children.

Vic “Spider-Man – Across the Spider-Verse” topped the North American box office in the first weekend of its release. It grossed $120 million at the box office in Canada and the United States, with a particularly successful start and better performance than the previous sequel.
