Le 4X d’Oxide Games, Ara : History Untoldwas one of the surprises of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. The title had given little news since last June and the first Alpha having been held successfully, a second session will be organized.
Ara: History Untold Technical Alpha #2 is Coming
Michael Califf, the main designer of Ara: History Untold, spoke on this subject by first giving a small summary of the progress made since last June. He wanted to thank “everyone who played the game and shared their feedback during the first Technical Alpha. »
“Given the positive reception to our first Tech Alpha, it looks like we’re on the right track, but that was just a preview of what’s to come in Ara: History Untold. Player feedback is invaluable to creating a game and the number of people interested in our game has exceeded all of our expectations. Players found the crafting intriguing, the construction of buildings satisfying, and the management of citizen stats interesting. »
Michael Califf wants to be very optimistic for the future since several significant improvements have already been made to the game’s interface, its ergonomics or even the visual rendering of cities. Now, Califf believes that the studio has sufficiently evaluated player feedback and continued to implement planned features to advance to Technical Alpha 2.
“Technical Alpha 2 will allow players to further test the game, including some of the most requested features from the first Technical Alpha. There will be more game available, more players to talk to, and more time to play. And we’re especially excited to announce that another story act will be available, allowing players to advance in technology to just before the Industrial Revolution. Coastal buildings and marines are now included. Perhaps most important is that the maps will be more varied and procedurally generated maps will be accessible. »
To participate in this second technical Alpha, everything happens through the programme Insider. Oxide Games’ new project is an ambitious 4X that somehow looks like the kid that Cities Skylines and Civilization might have had in terms of formula and artistic direction. No release date has been revealed, but Ara: History Untold will arrive as soon as it is released in the PC Game Pass.
