“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” (“Aquaman and the lost kingdom” in Spanish), the long-awaited second installment that immerses Jason Momoa once once more in the role of the king of the seas, has finally arrived in theaters. After delighting fans with a visual feast of epic underwater battles and dazzling aquatic landscapes, many viewers were glued to their seats to discover the mystery behind the DC film’s post-credits scene.
The feature film, which premiered on December 21 in Latin America and a day later in the United States, immerses us once once more in the world of Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman.
Now on the throne of Atlantis, our hero faces a new threat: the fearsome David Kane, alias Black Manta, who attacks the underwater kingdom with ferocity.
Traditionally, post-credits scenes have been the canvas on which the preview of the next installment is painted or new characters are introduced within the DC Extended Universe. However, “Aquaman 2” breaks with this tradition in an intriguing way.
The post-credits scene of this installment does not delve into future adventures or reveal the arrival of new heroes or villains. Instead, it opts for a lighter, more comedic route, making a callback to one of the silly jokes that illuminated the film’s main plot.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE POST-CREDIT SCENE OF “AQUAMAN 2″?
The post-credits scene of “Aquaman 2” left us with a mixture of amazement and revulsion! We saw Orm, finally, indulging in the burger and beer that his brother praised so much, but with an unexpected twist.
A cockroach decides to make its star entrance. Orm, far from being horrified, does the unimaginable: he crushes it and, without flinching, adds it to his burger. A shocking movement that ends with a huge bite and a satisfied smile.
A bizarre ending that reflects Orm’s peculiar taste, but that, in its extravagant way, suggests an openness to reconsidering his prejudices and discovering beauty in unexpected places.

WHAT DOES THE “AQUAMAN 2” POST-CREDIT SCENE MEAN?
The post-credits scene of Orm eating the cockroach inside the hamburger refers to something that happened at the beginning of the film.
Aquaman, in addition to rescuing his brother, has the brilliant idea of opening Orm’s closed mind. As? With the best weapon known to man (and Atlantean): junk food. Yes, burgers, beer and tacos. Orm, despite his initial disdain, falls to his brother’s gastronomic onslaught.
Jason Momoa’s character tells him that his prejudices are limiting his life, so he takes a cockroach and tells his brother that they are the shrimp of the earth and that people eat them all the time. Orm, in a surprising twist, swallows a cockroach and – worst of all – likes the taste.
But what does all this mean? Is it just a comic gag following the epic underwater adventure?
The answer lies in the duality of the scene. On the one hand, it is a reference to Orm’s peculiar taste, and on the other, it is a positive indication of his open-mindedness. Not only is Orm willing to rethink his prejudices, but he’s also ready to enjoy the small (and delicious) things in life on the surface.
However, the surprise doesn’t stop there. With the post-credits scene opting for a joke, and the film itself tying up all the dots, there’s no sign of a next big villain on the horizon. The next episode of Aquaman? Maybe it’s just sharing a burger with his brother, because at the end of the day, family and food always conquer all.
