State or municipal institutions purchasing new electric cars are also offered a support of 5,000 euros, and those purchasing used ones – half as much.

A. Markauskienė emphasized that the APVA also provides invitations for the installation of public charging stations. It is expected that the support will be actively used by legal entities, and these investments will encourage the installation of at least 3,840 electric car charging points in 42 municipalities.

Some telling statistics. More than 1.7 thousand received from legal entities. applications for new M1 class electric cars for more than 7 million EUR. and 130 requests for N1 class electric cars for 520 thousand. EUR. In total, since 2022, more than 5.1 thousand have already been financed. electric cars. In total, applicants have already been paid about 19 million. EUR support.

Getting support is easy!

Is it difficult to get support for an electric car? A. Markauskienė asserts that everything happens automatically – the VIN number is entered, the applicant’s account and contact details are indicated. Everything! The application is completed and you just need to receive the payment within two months.

This is extremely easy to do.

“This support can be used for more than the first year. It’s extremely easy to do, so we don’t get many questions. The main issues for beneficiaries are related to compliance. Applicants must remember that after receiving financing, they must keep the car for 2 years and not transfer it,” said A Markauskienė.

Thus, the buyer does not need to collect any documents. When submitting an application on the APVA website, all data is obtained automatically from the JV “Regitra”. Eligibility of the car to receive financing is evaluated. The VIN number determines whether the car has received financing before, whether it is a pure electric car and whether it is older than the required age.

When purchasing a non-new electric car

When purchasing an electric car that is not new, it is important to make sure that the electric car has not already received support at the request of the previous owner. An electric vehicle with the same VIN number is compensated only once.

Applying is extremely simple. In the system https://apvis.apva.lt/ you must choose 9 one of the following invitations: for physical or for legal individuals. If a natural person will use or plan to use the purchased electric car for economic/commercial activities, then the application must be submitted to the legal entities designated for the invitation.

It is important that no more than 6 months have passed from the date of the first registration of the electric car (code B in the registration certificate) to the acquisition and registration in the name of the owner (code I.1 in the registration certificate). Otherwise, it would be considered a used electric car, which already qualifies for a lower subsidy of 2,500 euros.

When purchasing a used electric car, not new, but more than 6 months have passed since the first registration, in all cases the date of first registration in Lithuania (code B.1 specified in the registration certificate) must be no earlier than 2022. March 23 A used electric car is considered to be an electric car with no more than 4 years between the first registration or model year and the year of registration of the car in the name of its owner.
