There is an allegation of irregularity in handing over the appointment order to the candidates for the post of LD Clerk in the Revenue Administration Department in Pathanamthitta. It is alleged that the order was directly delivered to two persons in violation of the rule that the appointment order should be sent by registered post.

Last Friday, Pathanamthitta District Collector ordered the appointment of 25 people in the revenue department as per PSC recommendation. The rule is that the appointment order should be sent to the candidates by registered post. But two people started working in Adoor taluk within hours of signing the order by the District Collector. The complaint is that the order was directly handed over to Ananthu Pradeep, a resident of Veliyam and Haseena Habib, a resident of Pandalam. The order was sent to the other 23 by post on Tuesday. The explanation of the Joint Council was that the order was handed over directly because the candidates had written in writing stating that they were not residing at their permanent address. But the NGO Sangh has alleged that these two candidates were called to the Collectorate yesterday to get a written statement and the District Collector has ordered an investigation into the incident.
