Applications for the “Youth Pass” open on Thursday

On Thursday 9/11/2023. the platform for the submission of applications for the Youth Pass is expected to open with the aim of financial support of 150 euros to 200,000 young people from 18 to 19 years old. The Youth Pass is in the form of a digital debit card which the beneficiaries will be able to use in businesses active in the fields of culture, tourism and transport.

In particular, young people can take advantage of the support in:

airlines, air transport

car rental

hotel businesses / accommodation

rail passenger transport

taxi services

bus services

sea ​​transport / coastal ferries

boat rental

airports/airports

travel agencies

boat rental

caravan rental etc.

e-books, movies, music

bookstores

other hotel businesses / accommodation camps for leisure and sports camping

other motor vehicle rentals

cinemas dance halls, schools, studios theater companies, ticket agencies
orchestras and bands exhibitions and tourist attractions, museums

gym services

other leisure services

The beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of the Youth Pass are tax residents of Greece who have turned 18 or 19 within the year preceding the application and submit an application on the platform. There are no property or income criteria.

The application

Young people who turned 18 or 19 between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022 can apply on the vouchers.gov.gr platform.

The application is submitted once and is not resubmitted after the beneficiary turns 19.

The beneficiary’s entry into the special application takes place after authentication of the beneficiary using the taxisnet codes

After entering the application, the beneficiary enters in the fields displayed in the system the contact details, and in particular the e-mail address and the mobile phone number, of the credit institution he chooses for the issuance of the digital debit card and requests the issuance of the digital debit card and the credit of the relevant amount.

Application to KEP

The process of issuing the digital debit card can also be carried out through the KEP, by a certified employee, following a relevant request of the natural person – beneficiary, as well as through an authorized representative, based on the Code of Administrative Procedure.

The employee of K.E.P. enters the special application after being authenticated using the “Public Administration Codes” of G.G.P.S.P.S.D. of the Ministry of Digital Governance, according to the decision of the Minister of State under data 29810 EX 2020 (B’ 4798).

Then, the employee enters in the fields displayed in the system:

a) The Tax Registry Number (TIN) of the natural person,

b) the contact details of the natural person, and in particular the email address and mobile phone number and

c) the credit institution that the natural person chooses, and requests on behalf of the natural person the issuance of the digital debit card and the crediting of the relevant amount.
