According to American nutritionist Tammi Lynn, whose comments were reported in the Women’s Journal, eating an apple before each meal would help you lose fat. But why ? “If you follow a balanced diet and stick to this ritual, before each meal, for precisely 4 weeks, you can lose up to 8 kg,” according to Tammi Lynn in Women’s Journal.
If you have to eat an apple every day, you will have to vary the pleasures… Good news: whether you eat it raw or cooked, the effects on weight loss will be the same.
A balanced diet and sport to lose weight
To lose weight, eating an apple before each meal is not enough. You must also eat a balanced diet and ensure that your daily calorie balance is close to zero. In other words, the body expends all the calories provided to it by eating. As a reminder, generally speaking, each day you need between 1,800 and 2,000 kcal for a woman and 2,100 to 2,700 kcal for a man. No more !
Finally, to lose weight, it is also advisable to exercise regularly. L’World Health Organization (WHO), recommends doing at least 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity sport or 75 to 150 minutes of sustained intensity per week. A routine that is beneficial for general health and helps reduce the risk of obesity.
In France, excess weight affects 57.3% of those aged 65 and over, according to the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm). Among 18-24 year olds, this percentage is 23.2%.
