The existence of an iPhone 15 Ultra is slowly starting to materialize. But while we thought it would replace the iPhone 15 Pro Max, this high-end model would actually be added to the other four iPhones for the start of the school year. Never seen.
Will the most expensive iPhone presented at the start of the school year be called the iPhone 15 Pro Max or the iPhone 15 Ultra? The rumors go so in all directions that we no longer know which saint to devote ourselves to. If the latest information suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would be abandoned in favor of an iPhone 15 Ultra, like the Apple Watch, the latest rumor, launched by the leaker MajinBuOfficial, suggests quite the opposite.
This would be a first in the company’s history since the presentation of the very first iPhone. Apple would not present four iPhones in two weeks as it has been used to doing since 2020 and the presentation of the iPhone 12, but five new models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Ultra would thus be two separate models, to which would be added the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro.
Concretely, what will differentiate the iPhone 15 Ultra from the Pro range will be the significant gain in power. The Pro models will retain the 6GB of RAM and have storage of up to 1TB. For its part, the iPhone 15 Ultra would have 8GB of RAM, storage of up to 2TB and a much better camera.
Apple’s objective would be clear: aim for all possible and imaginable wallet sizes, with a basic iPhone 15 just over a thousand euros, and an iPhone 15 Ultra that can very clearly go beyond €1,500, if not more.
