Apple will no longer release 27″ Mini-LED monitor with ProMotion, says Ross Young

There are several speculations surrounding the 27 inch mini LED monitor allegedly under development by Apple. Since last year, rumors have been changing in relation to a possible launch date for the product, in the sense of constant postponements of this presentation.

Now, following several “delays” (although the monitor was never announced), the display chain analyst Ross Young threw a bucket of cold water on the rumors he himself had been feeding. In a closed tweet for subscribershe said Apple would have given up of the launch of the monitor and canceled — at least for the time being — the project, even following ordering the manufacture of some units.

In 2022, Young commented that the product would be launched in 2023 – possibly in the first quarter of the year, which did not happen. This year, in turn, the analyst stated in March that the monitor would be delayed a little longer, not reaching the market in the previously predicted time.

Among the features of the alleged monitor would be, in addition to the Mini-LED technology, the ProMotion (up to 120Hz refresh rate). It is not known whether the product would be a successor to the Studio Display, released in early 2022, or one more monitor in Apple’s product line. It is also worth remembering that there are rumors that Apple would be developing other displays, as a possible successor to the Pro Display XDRreleased in 2019.
