Apple will greatly limit use of the Vision Pro without a US Apple ID

If you’re excited to pre-order a Vision Pro and don’t live in the United States, your plans may be in jeopardy. As noted by MacRumorsthe product’s pre-sale page shows several limitations for those outside of Apple’s home country, as the device is only being sold there so far.

In addition to visionOS only working in English (including Siri and Dictation) so far, the system’s App Store requires an American Apple ID — yes, your Brazilian account or account from any other nationality cannot be used. Purchases on Apple Music and the TV app will also require your account region to be set to the US. Even medical prescriptions to purchase ZEISS prescription lenses will need to be signed by American doctors and will only be sent to locations in the country.

The company also warns that users may not be able to access certain apps, features and content due to licensing issues or other restrictions. Product support will only be available in the US, too. The company, however, said it hopes to expand the availability of the device to other countries this year

It is worth noting that for Americans or US residents who are traveling, however, it works without any problems.
