Apple Watch Series 8 and Ultra bring an all-new temperature sensor, which Apple uses for two functions: estimating the likely day of ovulation and indicating deviations from an average. If the exact temperatures are available, they stay well hidden in the Health app. Fortunately, developer Bernhard Hering now offers Wrist Temperature Analysean app that makes it easy to get precise numbers.
Remember that recent watches can probe your temperature every 5 seconds during the night and calculate an average in the early morning. Wrist Temperature Analysis will directly display this data and that of the last few days in its iOS app, while a graph allows you to follow an evolution over a given period. The watchOS app offers almost the same interface directly from your wrist.
If it will already be more practical to consult the app than to search in Health, it is also possible to add a widget on its locked screen or on its home page. This will display the last measurement taken and is also available as a small complication for Apple Watch. Wrist Temperature Analyse is free, with no in-app purchases, and the developer promises to collect no data.
