I am the news

Apple has stated to MacRumors that it is aware of the random tap/erroneous touch issue on the Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra following the issue was reported by a large number of users on the Apple community andX platform And some external forums.

The story began when some Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra users started reporting false touches appearing on the screen which were described as “ghostly touches” | “Ghost Touches” shows that the watch performs some functions on its own as if the user was the one who tapped on the screen, even though he did not actually do so.

Apple Watches start jumping from one place to another, and continue to perform some random behaviors on their own, without any manual intervention from the user or touching the screen in any way.

In the worst cases, the Apple Watch may start making phone calls on its own, sometimes preventing users from entering their passwords correctly.

Apple recommended that users make sure there are any pending updates that need to be installed, and wait for any new updates in the near future to fix this problem.

The company is apparently working on fixing the ghost touch issue and random behavior of the Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra with the next WatchOS update, which is why the company is recommending that users should check if any new updates are pending.

Unfortunately, the company did not mention the extent of the problem, nor did it explain what the likely time frame would be for the next fix update to be released.

We are not sure if this issue is a manufacturing defect in the watches or if it is a software issue with the way the system implements functions.

If you are experiencing this problem, there is no need to go to the maintenance center at this time. Instead, you will have to hold down the crown and side buttons for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears in order to restart the watch, which may solve the problem temporarily.
