Many would agree that the current line of iPads is confusing to say the least, even more so for new customers of the Apple ecosystem.

In terms of screen sizes, the two models will be similar, as the iPad Air is expected to come, As already speculated, in configurations of 10.9 and 12.9 incheswhile the iPad Pro will have 11″ and 13″ OLED screens — reflecting the approach of the MacBooks Air and Pro, as the latter model has a slightly larger screen (13″ and 15″ vs. 14″ e 16″).
The analyst who also confirmed the launch of a new iPad Air with a 12.9″ screen Ross Youngwhich said that shipments of this display began this month.
Therefore, the next iPad Air will remain at a lower level than the Pro, but it will still be a more advanced option compared to the entry-level iPad, thanks to the two screen sizes and the M2 processor. Gurman also reaffirmed that the new models — both iPads Air and Pros — will arrive around March 2024.
In addition to the more advanced tablets, Gurman pointed out that when the 11th generation iPad launches, Apple will also phase out the 9th generation model — allowing it to discontinue some of its older Pencils, further streamlining the lineup.
As for the iPad mini, the journalist explains that “it would be difficult” for Apple to eliminate the model, since, despite the increases in the display sizes of laptops and tablets, some people prefer smaller iPads. Therefore, he foresees an update of the current model with a new chip.
Launch of Vision Pro and new Macs
Still according to Gurman, everything indicates that Apple will have a busy start to the year in 2024, since the company would be planning — finally — to put the Vision Pro for sale, as well as launching new MacBooks Air.
Regarding the MacBooks Air, the company plans to bring the M3 chip to its entry-level laptops, so they won’t bring many other new features beyond that. Just like the new iPads, the new machines are expected to land in March.
As for the headset, Gurman said that Apple is already scheduling training with its employees for next January, so that each employee will be trained for two days.
The purpose of this training is to prepare Maçã employees to configure the headsets sold, as the adjustments must be personalized for each person. Each step will be carefully planned, including how employees approach a customer and how they place the device on the user’s head.
In addition, Apple stores will soon receive new equipment to assemble and package the headset — another sign that the launch is close.
