Although it was presented last week, the Apple Vision Pro — mixed reality headset (augmented/virtual) from Apple — will only hit the market at the beginning of next year (and at first, only in the United States).
This, however, did not prevent several details of the device from being disclosed, including the number of unified memory that he will own.
The information comes from the developer Steve Troughton-Smithwhich pointed at mastodon that the development points for visionOS (headset operating system) in Xcode indicate that the Apple Vision Pro has 16GB unified memory.
This, it should be remembered, is in line with what the journalist Mark Gurmanyes Bloomberghe had indicated months ago, when he made his forecast for Apple launches this year.
In addition, the amount of memory is plausible considering the tasks that the headset will perform, mainly in terms of multitasking and spatial computing – as it has been defined by Apple.
It is also possible that the company will allow you to customize the device with even more unified memory, given that the M2 chip (in Macs) can be configured with up to 24GB – but this has not been confirmed so far.
