The iPad Air equipped with the M1 has improved CPU performance by up to 60% and graphics processing unit (GPU) performance by up to 2 times compared to the previous generation. This enables 4K video stream editing, high-end graphics gameplay, 3D spatial redesign, and more immersive augmented reality (AR).

The center stage is a function where the camera automatically captures the subject even if the user moves. When another person enters the screen, the camera detects it and gently zooms out, allowing everyone to participate in the conversation. This enables natural video calls.

There is also a 12-megapixel wide camera on the back. It supports clear photos, 4K video shooting, document scanning, and augmented reality experiences.

iPad Air supports super-fast 5G communication. It can reach top speeds of up to 3.5 Gbps. In addition, by supporting eSIM and Wi-Fi 6, data backup is fast and Share Play connection is more convenient. The USB-C port is up to 2x faster than the previous generation, delivering data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps.
