Apple TV+ subscription increases by 36.25%
After Disney+, it is the turn of the Apple brand’s platform to decide on a price increase. This went from 8 fr. at 10 francs. 90 per month.

Bad times for subscribers of the different streaming platforms on the market. On November 1, Disney+ increased the price of its offering which was renamed “Premium” (17 fr. 90 per month compared to 12 fr. 90 previously) and launched two new subscriptions with reductions in benefits. Netflix, which just six months ago ended account sharing, is already considering raising its prices. And for its part, Apple, with much less media hype, has recently increased the cost of the Apple TV+ subscription.
The monthly rate goes from 8 fr. at 10 francs. 90, an increase of 36.25%. And the annual of 80 fr. at 109 francs. The apple brand is also increasing its Apple Arcade services (from 6 francs. to 7 francs. 90) and Apple One (from 20 francs. 90 to 23 francs. 90). This is the second increase for Apple TV+, almost a year following a first price increase.
New billing in November
The announcement was made at the end of October on Apple’s home page and the new subscription prices began to be applied over the new billing period, i.e. in November for those who pay Apple TV+ monthly to watch the series “Ted Lasso”, “For All Mankind”, “Severance” or even “The Morning Show”.
Apple justified this new upward policy to “The Hollywood Reporter” magazine as follows: since its launch in 2019, the number of content has increased considerably and award-winning films and series have also been added. The last Scorsese, «Killers of the Flower Moon»currently in theaters, is an Apple production.

Note that unlike its competitors, Apple does not rely on subscription models supported by .
The streaming service is available in Switzerland via its own Apple TV+ platform or via the myCANAL subscription. Last April, Apple and the Canal+ group signed a strategic partnership multi-year. Thus, all content on the American platform is offered to all subscribers in Switzerland as well as new subscribers.
