A new version of the application Apple TV may be close to its release. For those who don’t know, Apple plans to implement an app that aims to integrate its own streaming service with some options for purchasing films and other types of video content.
According to information from Mark Gurman, from Bloomberg, the new feature should arrive through an update and will be available on both iOS and tvOS. Still without a specific date, the application should make its debut on operating systems in December this year.
The objective with this change is to encourage its users to use the platform as a central station for everything related to media content. In other words, it will be possible to rent or buy films independently and through a simpler and more practical process.
As a result, the Apple TV app should show all purchased content and content from the streaming service, as well as third-party channels that will be available for subscription. While there aren’t many details regarding it yet, what is known is that the app will still have a sidebar to make navigation simpler.
Searching for content through different categories is included in this bar. Furthermore, both the current version of the app as well as the Movies and TV Shows present on iTunes will be removed by the company. The platform’s new application should also be less confusing and highlight content well so that customers don’t get confused.
