Apple TV+ announces adaptation of the classic “Neuromancer”

O Apple TV+ announced the production of yet another science fiction series. Its regarding “Neuromancer”which will have ten episodes and will be based on the acclaimed book of the same name William Gibsonone of the greatest classics of the literary genre cyberpunk.

Just like the book, the series will follow the story of Casea super hacker who ends up being thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-risk crimes in order to survive — always alongside his partner, the assassin Molly.

Published in 1984, the story is a dystopian work that managed to predict many aspects of today’s society in relation to technology, so it will probably be interesting to see how it will be adapted for streaming.

The series is a creation of Graham Roland (“Prision Break”) e JD Dillard (“The island mystery”), who will also serve as executive producers. While the first will work as showrunnerthe second is scheduled to direct the pilot.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Drake (Yes the rapper), Adel ‘Future’ Only, Jason Shrier e Zack Hayden will join the creators as executive producers of the series, which does not yet have a premiere date.

“Neuromancer” will be a co-production of Skydance Television (“Foundation”) is yes Anonymous Content (“Dickinson”, “Defending Jacob”), but will also be produced by DreamCrew Entertainment (Drake and Nur’s production company).
