Apple turns iPads into smart screens to control home appliances

A recent report revealed that Apple is turning its iPad into a smart screen and speaker that can work like the Facebook Portal or Amazon Echo Show to control smart home devices.

And according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman, the tech giant might offer these smart capabilities to iPads as early as next year.

The iPad docking station allows users to make FaceTime calls and hands-free control of smart home devices.

It will be similar to the Amazon Firetablet, which allows users to dock devices to turn it into a smart display.

Apple is set to introduce the iPad Pro soon, which will likely come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models and an M2 Silicon chip.

Apple is also working on an updated version of the HomePod, and according to the report, the next generation HomePod might have an updated screen, S8 chip, and multi-touch capabilities.

The company also plans to build an Apple TV and smart speaker device with a camera, and Apple recently signed with Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (SMT), which might lead to the tech giant using hybrid OLED displays in the iPad Pro by 2024.

The iPad and iPad Pro screen is a major part of the user experience.
