Paris Campbell, an Apple employee, is in the crosshairs of Apple following a video posted on TikTok.
But who is this famous TikTokeuse that Apple has in its sights? Paris Campbell (@stopitparis) has nearly half a million followers on TikTok, with more than 18 million likes in total. Until a video emerged last week, she had never publicly identified as an Apple employee.
She reacts to the theft of an iPhone
Paris Campbell reacted to a TikTok video last week. Another user of the application explained that her iPhone had been stolen and that she had received messages from the thieves. They threatened to sell his private information on the black market. She gave tips and tricks to this victim so as not to completely lose control of his iPhone.
It then details what the activation lock represents and invites the theft victim not to deactivate it. She also assures that the thieves might not obtain personal information.
Apple doesn’t like it
Apple has a very strong privacy policy and can sometimes overreact. Apple makes it a point of honor to be the most irreproachable from the point of view of its image and its reputation.
The trigger for Apple’s reaction is the statement of the TikTokeuse: “I can’t tell you how exactly I know this information, but I can tell you that for the past six years I’ve been a Certified Hardware Engineer for a certain company that likes to talk regarding fruit a lot”
In another video, she claims that her manager summoned her to pull her ears following her public intervention on TikTok. Since then, we do not know if the meeting concerned a simple call to order or if the interview turned into a dismissal.
