Employees of a Apple Store in the city of Barcelona (Spain), will carry out a greve this Saturday (23/12) to demand improvements in a series of store issues.
The act, organized by workers at Apple Passeig de Gràciawas released today by the union CGT Apple in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The decision to continue with the strike was taken at a meeting held last Thursday (14/12) and explained in more detail on this page.
Among the strikers’ demands are bonuses for employees who work on Sundays and holidays, as well as the reception of volunteers to help them run the store on those days.
They also ask for fixed work schedules, with specific starting and ending times, in addition to meal breaks — all on a weekly rotation schedule. Furthermore, these schedules must be provided to employees up to three months in advance and always cover an entire month of work.
The idea is that, next Saturday, employees will stand outside Apple Passeig de Gràcia as a form of protest (for as long as they can, of course). The event is expected to last exactly 24 hours.
