A Apple announced that it stopped signing iOS version 16.5, which prevents users from being able to downgrade or restore to that software variant in the future. please note that Apple has already released build 16.5.1 of the system.
the version iOS 16.5 has arrived on iPhones in May and many users reported problems, including a reduced battery life after update of the Apple operating system, but compilation 16.5.1 came to correct this and other bugs.

Traditionally, Apple has dropped official support for older versions after releasing new variants for their operating systems. The measure seeks to prevent users from being affected by bugs and old security breaches.

A Apple unsigned o iOS 16.4.1the operating system version available before of iOS 16.5 release, which took place on May 18. With that, Apple ended official downgrade support for iPhone owners.
The company often stops signing older versions of iOS after new official builds are released to encourage users to keep their operating systems always up to date, so iOS 16.4 losing support is not uncommon.
Released on April 7, iOS 16.4.1 was a small update with bug fixes that came just under two weeks after the release of iOS 16.4, an update that introduced new Emoji, Safari Web Push notifications, and more.
For its part, iOS 16.5, the current publicly available version, brought a few more major bug fixes and feature additions, including a dedicated Sports tab on Apple News and a Pride Collection wallpaper for lock screens.
