Apple retests important security updates on iOS 16.2 beta

iPhone and iPad users who have installed the latest iOS/iPadOS 162 beta will be offered a Rapid Security Response tonight. With this update, Cupertino is actually testing the deployment of security updates that do not require a full iOS update. Once installed, the device indicates that the system version is 16.2(b), and it will then be possible to remove this update by going to the Settingsthen General, Informations and touching the line Version d’iOS. As with the first test of this kind carried out on November 17, it is very likely that this update is deployed for testing purposes and does not actually contain any security fixes.
