A new feature in one of Apple’s biggest apps has mysteriously disappeared following users complained regarding problems, as the iPhone maker recently introduced a new home app architecture designed to make everything work better.
To feel the benefits, all devices within Home must be updated to the latest version.
But people who have tried to do so seem to have been affected by the issues, according to MacRomores.
Among them is a stuck toolkit that says “update” or “configure”.
Others claim that HomeKit devices are completely gone.
Invitations to people to control your stuff are also said to have failed.
“This has kicked all my family out of my house and I’m having trouble getting them back in,” said one user on Reddit.
Since the complaints were made the upgrade has mysteriously disappeared.
But not everyone has the same problem.
Same people say they upgraded just fine.
It was an optional process that you had to get through the software update portion of the homepage settings yourself.
So anyone hoping to upgrade will have to wait for Apple to bring them back.
Those who have already set it up – without problems – should be able to carry on as normal.
Changes to the Home page were introduced with iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS Ventura 13.1.
