A feature originally announced by Apple for iOS/iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura was finally used today for the first time in an open and official way.

It’s regarding the call Quick Protection (Rapid Security Responseor RSR)which are nothing more than updates for the company’s operating systems exclusively focused on correcting security holes.

In virtually every Apple OS update, we also receive security improvements — but through these Quick Guards, Apple now hopes to be able to make fixes faster and more specifically.

Several of these have been released in recent months in the testing phase, but today the first official ones came out — for iOS 16.4.1, iPadOS 16.4.1 and also macOS Ventura 13.3.1.

Once these Quick Protections are applied, a letter is added following the current version of the operating system — that is, whoever installs today’s on the iPhone will run the iOS 16.4.1 (a).

In addition to being able to be released more quickly, these updates are also lighter to download and install on devices. Nada want! ????

For those who are not able to apply the update yet, apparently it is gradually being released to everyone – although it already appears as available in Settings.

It may take up to 48 hours to reach everyone.
