Apple releases new firmware update for AirPods Max

After a long time, Apple released a new firmware version for the AirPods Max (6A324; ancient era 6A300).

According to Apple, only bug fixes and other improvements were included with this update. A Portuguese edition of the page with the firmware release notes, it is worth noting, it has not yet been updated, but this should change soon.

As we always remember, there is no direct way to update the AirPods firmware. In fact, this will be done automatically the moment the headphones are connected to an iPhone or iPad. In other words, just continue using them normally and wait.

One way to “force” the update, however, is to put your smartphone/tablet on charge and then start using the headphones. After a few minutes, the new version should have been installed.

To check the firmware version running on your headphones, you must have them connected to your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings and tap the AirPods area that is highlighted at the beginning of the screen, below your ID information. Apple — or going on Settings » General » About » AirPods.
