Apple releases iOS 15.4 with easy-to-use Face ID mask unlock..Details

Apple has started rolling out iOS 15.4 and the highly anticipated update adds a host of features that many iPhone users have been waiting to experience since the company first started testing them in January, among the most notable is unlocking your device while wearing a mask, which makes it no longer need an Apple Watch to unlock Lock your phone without removing the face cover or entering your passcode, according to an engadged report.

Once you install iOS 15.4, you’ll need to activate it manually in the Face ID & Passcode section of the Settings menu, and iOS 15.4 also comes with a new voice option for Siri.

Apple also released iPadOS 15.4 and offers another much-anticipated feature: Universal Control. First announced at WWDC in June and then delayed at the end of the year, it allows you to control multiple Macs and iPads with a single keyboard, trackpad, or mouse.

It also updates with 37 new emoji characters introduced as part of Unicode 14.0, meaning you can use characters like “melted face” in your text conversations, and add skin tones to handshake emojis.

To download new updates, launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, then tap General followed by Software update.
