The American electronics giant Apple announced today, Monday, a rare promotional campaign for its iPhone phones in China, offering a 4-day discount in the prices of the latest phones and its accessories before launching the new generation of these devices on the market.

And the Bloomberg news agency reported that the company, which is usually reluctant to offer price reductions, will offer a discount of up to 600 yuan ($89) from the iPhone 13 Pro price during the period from July 29 to August 1. At the same time, in order for the buyer to benefit from the offer, he has to use one of the electronic payment platforms such as Alipay of Ant Group. Some types of wireless headphones, AirPods and Apple Watch smartwatches will also be reduced in price.

Bloomberg reported that the cuts come at a time when the Chinese economy is trying to recover from the repercussions of the measures to close major economic centers such as Shanghai and Beijing to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus, which has affected sales of major Chinese smartphone makers such as Xiaomi Corp, Vivo and Oppo. On the other hand, Apple succeeded in recording a growth in its sales in China during the past month, according to official Chinese statistics, although the recent reductions indicate that the company has excess stocks in China.
