A new report clarified details regarding the specifications of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro phone, indicating a new technology with which Apple will support its next phone.
According to a report by the authoritative analyst Ross Young, Apple may introduce the iPhone 14 Pro phone, with Always-On Display technology for phone screens, by supporting a low 1Hz refresh rate in ProMotion screens, according to (Al Ain News).
Last year, Apple introduced the iPhone 13 Pro with ProMotion technology and a 120Hz refresh rate, and this technology was the first time it was launched for iPhone phones, and this support will improve the phone screens in its upcoming releases.
And the ProMotion screens that will be introduced in the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max phones, will have the ability to drop to a 1Hz refresh rate, which will reduce phone battery consumption, and will contribute to a longer charging life.
This move predicts what has been raised regarding Apple seeking to replace the Chinese company that was supplying it with sensors, with LG, to strengthen the sensors of its front cameras, and it will be the first time that Apple relies on a Korean company for this purpose.
According to the “Korean IT News” report, Apple initially planned to support the iPhone 15 series with a camera sensor from the Korean company LG Innotek, but Apple decided to switch to using the Korean company’s technology starting with the upcoming iPhone 14 versions soon.
It is worth noting that LG Innotek is currently providing Apple with rear camera sensors.
It is expected that the supply of the front camera will be divided between the Japanese company Sharp and the South Korean LG Innotek following the move from Apple.
