Apple plans to shut down autonomous electric car project: Report

Bloomberg, citing sources inside the technology giant, reported that many of the staff involved in developing the vehicle are now being moved to work on the company’s generative artificial intelligence projects.
It is not yet clear how many staff will be laid off, as Apple also had several hundred hardware engineers and vehicle designers working on the project.
Apple did not immediately respond to The Independent’s request for comment.
